About the Role

We are looking for a Japanese- and English-speaking Accounting / Finance Analyst to join our finance team in Pardubice or Prague. This position will begin with a strong focus on monthly accounting closure, cost accounting, and fixed asset/inventory control. Over time, you will receive training and develop into broader financial planning and analysis (FP&A) responsibilities, such as budgeting, variance analysis, and profitability modeling.

Because our processes require daily coordination with our headquarters in Japan, native-level Japanese proficiency is essential, along with strong English skills to operate effectively in the Czech/European business environment. Czech language proficiency is preferred for smooth local communication. Direct support and training will be provided by managers and HQ to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success.

This role is ideal for someone with Japanese and English proficiency and a finance background (or willingness to learn accounting/FP&A) who is interested in building a stable, long-term career in a specialized international finance role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly accounting closure, including cost accounting, fixed asset management, and inventory control.
  • Work closely with managers and HQ teams (including IT and accounting) in Japanese to clarify issues, troubleshoot, and follow instructions.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Czech within the local team and with external stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis under the guidance of managers or HQ.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and financial analysis as requested by HQ.
  • Support profitability and pricing checks for new business opportunities by modeling raw material costs, fixed costs, and profit margins.
  • Prepare documentation and data for internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute proactively to the team with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • Language:
    • Japanese: Native-level proficiency required.
    • English: C1 level or higher, both spoken and written.
    • Czech: Proficiency preferred for local communication.
  • Certification: Nissho Bookkeeping Test Level 2 (日商簿記二級) mandatory.
  • Interest in finance and accounting: Willingness to build expertise in accounting and FP&A (training and support provided).
  • Technical skills: Good Excel and data-handling skills; experience with complex spreadsheets is an advantage.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Prior experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
  • Personal qualities: Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated for long-term career development.

Offer

  • Salary range: 55,000–65,000 CZK / month depending on experience and qualifications
  • Working hours: full-time / open to shorter working hours if needed
  • Flexible working schedule with a fixed core time from 10:00 to 15:00 (40 hours per week).
  • Meal vouchers: 150 CZK per worked day.
  • Cafeteria benefits: 500 CZK per month.
  • Holiday: 5 weeks of holiday plus 3 additional company days off.
  • Work environment: Friendly team, modern workplace.
